Modeling - 2013
This project was an exercise in Solidworks assembly modeling and articulation. I designed a suspended coaster-style ride vehicle, each moving independently with the controlling mechanics housed behind the seating. Each vehicle has a three guest capacity and can be controlled to direct guests’ attention towards the action of each scene in the ride. The articulation of the system allows for up-and-down rotation as well as left-and-right, on top of any direction dictated by the angles of the ride track. This freedom allows for variation in action from leisurely pacing and comfortable seating to intense speeds and more thrill-ride style suspensions.
